[ If K-2 had eyebrows, they would be furrowed. This is a puzzle he cannot solve.

He stands awkwardly, too tall for the low-ceilinged space, over Cassian. ]

There is no acceptable solution. You will simply have to learn to lie better.

[ouzel]

I can't lie for us both, Kay, not all the time.

[ Nevermind he's been at this literally forever. ]

[ktwo]

[ He'd almost thought he'd escaped the blame. ]

[ouzel]

[ Reaching up and patting K2 on the arm. ]
